Double gameweek 25, is on the horizon and many FPL managers would be looking to bounce back after a disappointing double gameweek 23, a gameweek which could be considered as one of the worst double gameweeks this season, with the most captained FPL asset returning a -2.
I like to consider Double gameweeks; as mini chips that every FPL manager has at their disposal; with adequate and proper planning, FPL managers could take advantage of a possible double gameweek 25.
Is Gameweek 25 a double gameweek?
Yes, gameweek 25 is a double gameweek with Man united and Brighton the only two teams to play twice in gw 25.
Double gameweek 25 everything you need to know
What teams have a double gameweek in GW 25
Manchester united and Brighton are the two teams expected to have double gameweeks in gameweek 25.
The fact that many games have been postponed this season means there would be a reasonable about of double gameweeks. But for double gameweeks to be arranged the Premier League always needs to have clear midweek slots.
Other competitions affect this, so there are four rounds that could accept more fixtures between now and Gameweek 30 and stay as a Double Gameweek.
They are Gameweek 25, Gameweek 26, Gameweek 28 and Gameweek 29. Here is a list of teams who could have more double gameweeks in this timeframe
What Manchester United Double gameweek 25 Asset Should I get?
Manchester United is a side underperforming and lacking consistency. And as FPL managers you don’t want FPL assets from a team where you don’t know what you’re going to get especially in a double gameweek.
Man united’s poor form this season has seen many FPL managers avoid selecting their players. Man United has kept only five clean sheets this season and has conceded thirty goals in their twenty-two games so far- those numbers aren’t great, and that’s one of the reasons FPL managers stay away from their defenders.
Man United has scored thirty-six goals this season, created thirty-nine big chances, have a shooting accuracy of 35%, and have an average of one goal per game.
In Double gameweek, 25 Man united face Brighton and Southampton. A Brighton side who rank 11th for expected goals this season and only the top three have lower xGC (expected goals conceded) than Brighton.
Here’s a list of Man united FPL assets to consider in double gameweek 25
David De gea
The Man united shot-stopper has been arguably man united’s player of the season so far. He is also a top FPL asset. Only Jose Sa, Ederson Moraes, and Aaron Ramsdale have picked up more points than the man united shot-stopper.
Despite- Man united keeping only five clean sheets this season, De Gea has managed to rack up 90 points- 6 lesser than Man city’s Ederson. David de Gea averages 4.1 points a match, and his 84 saves this season are the most by any goal keeper in the league.
Not only that, David De Gea has been excellent when it comes to saving penalties. This season he has saved two penalties. In terms of FPL keepers, they’re not much better than David De Gea, and in Double game week 25 he should be your first choice.
Manchester United has the easiest set of fixtures on paper, with their fixtures having an FDR of 2.
Bruno Fernandes, one of last season’s top FPL asset, has not reached the standards he set last season. Despite his lack of form this season, Bruno Fernandes’ 98 points is the most of any Man united asset.
Bruno has scored 7 goals this season, and averages 4.7 points per match- only Ronaldo averages more points per game (4.8). Bruno is known for his creativity, and- this season is no different; he has created the most chances for United (only Trent Alexandre Arnold has created more chances in PL this season). If you’re looking to captain anyone in double gameweek 25 Bruno’s the man.
Why should you go for Bruno Fernandes in double gameweek 25
There’s no doubt that Bruno is an explosive- FPL asset in double game week twenty-two Bruno gave a total of twenty-three points. 20.9% of FPL managers who have selected him would be hoping for more of the same in double game week 25.
The Man United forward is going to be one of the popular picks for double gameweek 25. Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with the most FPL points this season for Man united he averages 4.8 points per match.
Ronaldo has been out of form recently with the forward blanking in his last three matches. But Man united’s run of fixtures- would make their assets even more sort after, and Ronaldo would be one of the go.
Why should you go for Cristiano Ronaldo in double gameweek 25
Cristiano Ronaldo is Man united’s top scorer with eight goals. The striker carries the most goal-scoring threat in man united this season his twenty-two shots on target are the most of any United player. FPL managers would be hoping the Portuguese man can find his goal-scoring form in double gameweek 25.
The United full-back is valued at 4.5 million and selected by 2.5% of Fpl managers is a good differential pick. The Man United full-back is now new head coach Ralf Ragnick’s first choice, replacing Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The price tag of just 4.5 million makes it difficult to look past the defender and easier to double up or triple up on Man united assets this double gameweek 25.
Why should you go for Diogo Dalot in double gameweek 25
Man united are not a team that keep a lot of clean sheets and that’s something FPL managers consider when selecting defenders.
The reason Diogo Dalot is on this list is his value. the full-back is valued at 4.5 million and that’s cheap for a full-back who starts for a top-six team. This value would allow FPL managers to get more premium assets. Given man united’s upcoming fixtures he’s a good FPL asset to have not just for double gameweek 25 but for the remainder of the season.
What Brigton Double gameweek 25 Asset Should I get?
Brighton is known for playing good attacking football a side who’s always looking to attack against any side. Their recent performances against the likes of Chelsea, Crystal Palace, and Everton have caught the eyes. With Brighton outplaying UCL winners Chelsea.
In FPL double gameweek 25, Brighton, go up against a Watford side who hasn’t kept a clean sheet all season conceding forty goals in twenty games so far.
They also face a Man united side who aren’t great defensively. A side who have conceded thirty goals this season and whose keeper has been the busiest all season- with David DeGea having to make eighty-four saves (the most in the division).
Brighton rank 11th for expected goals (XG) this season according to opta and only the top three have lower XGC (expected goals conceded.

Here’s a list of Brighton FPL assets to consider in double gameweek 25
The Brighton full-back is yet another FPL differential on this list. He’s owned; by just 3.5% of FPL managers. The fact that Brighton has kept only six clean sheets this season and Cucurella recording only one assist so far this season explains why he’s owned by only 3.5% of managers.
Well, Cucurella might not have the numbers to back up his FPL price tag. Marc Cucurella is a player who passes the eye test. The Brighton wing-back put up a man-of-the-match performance against Chelsea completing; more crosses and creating more chances than any other player.
He might not be getting the points now but the signs are good. Double gameweek 25 would be a good time for the wingback to reward the 3.5% of managers who have selected him.
Leandro Trossard is yet another player who passes the eye test. The Brighton midfielder valued at 6.1 million has scored four goals this season and has taken 53 shots this season with, twenty of those being on target.
In terms of creativity, only Pascal Groß is better than Trossard. As FPL managers we’d be looking to get in players who would start games and Leandro Trossard is a great pick- only Brighton’s goalkeeper has played more minutes than Trossard this season.
Why should you go for Trossard in double gameweek 25
Trossard is heavily involved in Brighton’s attacking play and stats show that he carries more goalscoring threat than any other player and in terms of goals scored only Brighton’s striker Neal Maupay has more (7).
Alexis Mac Allister
Twenty-six points in his last four games, name a more in form Brighton asset, yeah no one. Alexis Mac Allister is the man in form- for Brighton scoring four goals and assisting two this season.
Valued at only 5.1 million and owned by 0.8% of FPL managers, Alexis Mac Allister is a good differential pick for double game week 25.
His standout performance of the season was his 15 point haul against Everton a game where he scored two goals and assisted two.
Why should you go for Alexis Mac Allister in double gameweek 25
The Midfielder has started nine games this season and has scored four goals, making him the joint-second top scorer at Brighton this season.
In terms of goal-scoring threat, only- Neal Maupay and Leandro Trossard carry more. Alexis Mac Allister costs only 5.1 million- which is pretty cheap. Buying him would allow for funds to be spent on more premium assets.
