Man city’s new signing Julian Alvarez rumored to be sent on loan

Man City’s new signing, Julian Alvarez, is rumored to be sent out on loan. The 21 year old River plate forward Alvarez, who is valued at 20million euros is Manchester city’s first January signing.

The Argentine forward was scouted by the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool. However, the young striker decided to join Manchester city who currently don’t have a recognized striker in their team.

Despite having no established striker last season, Manchester City won the Premier League and reached their first UCL final. Their search for a striker began during the last transfer window where Man City were heavily linked with Spurs striker Harry Kane but failed to sign him

Even though they can play smooth attacking football and score a lot of goals, a centre-forward is still needed. Manchester City’s need for a striker becomes apparent when they sometimes struggle to win against teams that sit and defend. Although Pep Guardiola has often said that’s not the case, well, it doesn’t take a tactical genius to know that if City get a deadly attacker they could be unstoppable.

Manchester city’s need for a striker has seen them being linked with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Erling Haaland. Despite the availability of these elite forwards City have gone for River plate’s forward Julian Alvarez.
