This DGW26 wildcard draft would help you prepare for one of this season’s biggest double gameweeks that is about to start. With eight teams featuring in this round of fixtures, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds, Spurs, Burnley, Wolves, Crystal Palace and Watford all play in double gameweek 26.
And as FPL managers we all would be looking to get the best players that would produce decent point hauls in this double gameweek.
In This blog post we would be creating a DGW26 wildcard draft. Here is a list of players to consider for your DGW26 wildcard draft.
Trent Alexander Arnold
Arnold would be one of the first names on the team sheet in our DGW26 wildcard draft. He is a Rolls Royce of an FPL asset. A must-have defender.
Salah is the only player to have picked up more points than the Liverpool full-back. Trent Alexander Arnold is selected by 47.3% of FPL managers.
Arnold has registered 10 assists in FPL this season only Jarrod Bowen has more assists(12). Arnold is also a potential captain pick and even a good differential triple captain (If you want to know more differential triple captain options, click here)
Since many FPL managers would be looking to captain Mo Salah, Arnold is a good differential captain pick.
Andy Robertson
Andy Robertson is selected by 6.9% of FPL managers. The Liverpool defender is one of the most in-form players. Robertson has returned a total of 36 points in his last four gameweeks and 79 points in his last ten games.
Robertson has recorded eight assists this season- only Trent has more (10). If you’re looking to double up on Liverpool defenders Robertson and Arnold are the best options.
In gameweek 26, he plays Leeds United and Norwich. With a 6.9% ownership, he’d be a good differential to get if you’re on a wildcard. Robertson would be a good Diogo Jota replacement for double gameweek 26.
And for that reason Robertson is going to make our DGW26 wildcard draft.
Aaron Ramsdale
Aaron Ramsdale is the man in goal in our DGW26 wildcard draft. What a signing Ramsdale has been for Arsenal (to find out more of which new signings to get into your FPL team, click here)– one of the best FPL goalkeepers this season.
Ramsdale has been one of the best goalkeepers this season- the Arsenal man has picked up 101 points so far this season. He has kept 11 clean sheets this season, and we’d be hoping he can keep even more against Brentford and Wolves.
Ramsdale is a keeper who tends to make saves in games which, in turn, gives him save points. Ramsdale’s a bonus point magnet this season, no keeper has collected more bonus points than the Arsenal man.
Bukayo Saka
Arsenal has good fixtures going into double gameweek 26; that’s why a couple of their players would be in our DGW26 wildcard draft- they face Wolves and Brentford. Saka has been one of Arsenal’s focal points in attack this season.
The Arsenal man comes up against Brentford in double gameweek 26. Brentford, in recent times, has not been great defensively; they’ve conceded 14 goals in their last seven games in all competitions.
Bukayo Saka has the most goal involvement this season for Arsenal with 11. According to stats, he’s the player most likely to score goals for Arsenal this season. Not only is he involved in goal-scoring, but Saka is also a creative force in Arsenal’s team. Only Martin Odegard has created more goal-scoring opportunities than Saka this season.
Mo Salah
Salah is an obvious pick for many reasons and would most likely be the captain of our DGW26 wildcard draft team. No player has picked up more FPL points than Salah this season.
His 26 goal involvement is the most of any player. He goes up against Leeds and Norwich, two teams Salah enjoys playing against.
Mo Salah is the sort of player who can pop up with a goal or an assist even when he has a bad game. He is the most transferred-in player for double gameweek 26 because of Liverpool’s fixtures.
It’s very unlikely that a team would have an easier set of fixtures this season- that’s why FPL managers are looking to capitalize on this.
Emmanuel Dennis
Emmanuel Dennis is owned by 36.6% of FPL managers. It’s a bit surprising that he’s still highly owned as he has failed to score or assist in his last five games.
Dennis would be one of our DGW26 wildcard draft strikers. Watford faces Villa and Palace in gameweek 26, two teams that concede goals. He’s one worth having for gameweek 26.
This season strikers are hard to pick as they aren’t returning that much. The best play, for now, would be to go for the cheaper ones and invest the funds elsewhere.
Wout Weghorst
Burnley’s new signing Weghorst has looked good in the two games he has played in the league this season and already has an assist.
Weghorst has played against Liverpool and Man United already this season; he played well in both games- he was unlucky not to have scored a goal.
He did came off in the match against Liverpool as he looked like he had picked up an injury which makes him a doubt for double gameweek 26.
With the lack of forward options, Weghorst would be our second striker in our DGW26 wildcard draft. Burnley comes up against Spurs and Brighton in gameweek 26 and, to be fair, they have a decent chance against them.
Burnley played well against Liverpool, creating a lot of chances. If they play similarly against Spurs and Brighton Wout Weghorst, could get goals or two.
With premium FPL strikers such as Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Romelu Lukaku performing below par, I’d Wout Weghorst is one worth having.

And there you have it the final DGW26 wildcard draft team.
