The season is coming to an end the stakes are high, some FPL managers are looking to cover some ground, others are looking to cement their places in the overall rank, and the need to finish the season strong can’t be over emphasized.
A survey done by FPL Mate (Dan) on twitter shows that 19% out of 100 FPL managers are playing their wildcard this gameweek.
This shows that double gameweek 34 is the best time to use the wildcard chip if you still have it, as it would allow you to set up a team that would have enough doublers in double gameweek 36.
With all of this in mind, we have decided to create a couple of GW34 wildcard drafts that would take you from double gameweek 34 to gameweek 38.
GW34 wildcard draft with double gameweek 36 bench boost in mind
Let’s now take a look at our gameweek 34 wildcard and see the players we’d be bringing into our team.

Let’s work you through our thought process and our plans going forward. With this team you have three Chelsea assets that would cover you in double gameweek 34, and you also have a squad full of players who play twice in double gameweek 36, and if you want to go further into the future you’d have five players who have a double in gameweek 37 without making use free transfers.
It’s a decent team that could see you through the remaining double gameweeks. You might want to check our blog for some gameweek 37 transfer targets when the time comes because we really can’t recommend players now.
A few other thing to note is that we’ve gone for Alonso instead of James and that’s because we fear that James might be rotated because of injury concerns and Alonso is also much cheaper.
Mason Mount is another one you want to keep an eye on because he might be rested in double gameweek 34. Mount has played three games on the bounce and Chelsea might one to rest him. A good alternative would be Kai Havertz.

Lastly, we’ve completely ignored Spurs assets and that’s because of their price. The players we’d want to get from Spurs are Kane and Son and they’re expensive. We’d provide some more drafts with Spurs assets in it.
Wildcard drafts from now until the end of the season

This is how our team would look in gameweek 35. We might want to use our bench players by bringing in Cash for Maddison, Foster for Schmeichel and Matip for a Werner if he plays twice in double gameweek 34.
You might also want to use your free transfer to get in a Richarlison for Werner and that’s because Everton double in gameweek 36 and 37.

For double gameweek 36 you’d have a pretty decent team, a decent bench and you’ll be ready to activate your bench boost.

If you did the Werner to Richarlison transfer earlier then in gameweek 37, you’d have six players who double in GW37. We should also know that Manchester City could double either in gameweek 37 or gameweek 36 so that’s one you’d want to keep an eye on. If they do double in gameweek 36 or 37 you’d want to factor that to your plans.
GW34 wildcard draft: other FPL managers share their drafts
Just like we did last week for the free hit draft we’d be sharing another thread from twitter, but this time it would be a gameweek 34 wildcard draft thread done by The FPL Bois.

This gameweek 34 wildcard draft team is for you, if you want to bench boost in gameweek 36 and the second one is for you, if you want to free hit in double gameweek 36.
