GW11 injury news: Mitrovic, James, Isak and many other updates

GW11 injury news

With GW11 just around the corner, PL managers have done their press conferences and provided updates on their various teams and squads.

So we’ve taken our time to provide you with some injury updates and news for gameweek 11, we also share our thoughts on how best we FPL managers can manage these injury crisis.

Bournemouth team news

Gary O’Neil on team news:

Overall, we’re really good fitness wise. “The Fulham game comes too quickly for Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks but apart from that, everyone is doing really, really well.

Joe Rothwell and Ben Pearson are back training now and we’ve had a good week from both of them. I’m not sure if they’ll be involved but they’ve both had a good week and we’re really pleased with them.

Newcastle and Isak injury update

Eddie Howe on team news:

Alex [Isak] is making progress but he’s not available this game [at Manchester United]. So yeah, I don’t think we’re too different from previously.

Difficult to say at this moment in time [if Alexander could feature in Gameweek 12 or 13] but I’d probably say the three-game week might be difficult.

It’s slow progress for Emil [Krafth]. It’s a serious injury. [Jonjo Shelvey] is getting closer. He has trained; not full training at this moment but he’s very close. “Matt [Ritchie] has picked up a calf problem.

Howe on Allan Saint-Maximin:

He is in contention, yeah. On Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy: Miggy is scoring goals and in a really good place at the moment. And Murph has come in in the last two games and given very, very good performances for the team and individually for him [Murphy]. It was great to see him score last week as well. I think there’s competition there when you see how good Ryan Fraser is as well.

Chelsea team news

Graham Potter on Reece James:

He’s due to see a specialist at the weekend. “So until we get that information, there’s not too much else I can add. “There’s discomfort. We need to check, see a specialist.

He spoke yesterday, felt not too bad. “But again, until you get these things checked you never know. “There’s no point looking into the doomsday scenario. We need to check, make sure it’s okay.

Potter on N’Golo Kante:

He’s due to see a consultant at the weekend. It’s a setback. It’s not good news.”

On Wesley Fofana: He’s progressing. I don’t think we’ll see him before the World Cup.

Gameweek 11 injury news summary

From the various press conferences we have an idea of what FPL assets would be starting this week, which means we can also now make better and more informed decisions.

From the various updates we have gotten this week, we can say that James, Mitrovic, Isak and Fofana would not be starting this gameweek.

Out of them four, Mitrovic is the only one that might start in GW12. Which leaves us now with the question, what do you do with these FPL assets?

What to do with your injured FPL assets

Well, if you have a decent bench, then I’d say you could hold onto Mitrovic this gameweek and see if he is on the bench for Fulham. If he does make the bench in GW11, then he’d most likely feature in gameweek 12.

As for James, it is very likely that he misses both GW11 and 12, so it’d be better to look for a replacement.

We have this article that can help you with that: GW11 player picks: Trent, James and Luiz Diaz replacements, in that article we suggest replacement for some injured players.

Fofana, Trent and Luiz Diaz are players who have long term injuries so, it’d be better to transfer them out this gameweek. Feel free to also check out our blog for more FPL articles, we’ve covered GW11 in depth. There are a lot of helpful articles.
