FPL tips: the best striker picks for double gameweek 26

This season’s FPL striker picks have been few. With premium assets such as Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lukaku failing to live up to expectations this season, FPL managers have had to invest their money elsewhere either- in midfield or defense.

In this blog post we’d be looking at some good FPL striker picks to consider in double gameweek 26. And if you’re looking for a chip strategy guide for the rest of the season, click here.

Double gameweek 26 FPL striker picks

Amado Broja

The saints’ man has been one of the go-to strikers in recent times and, that could be because he is a cheap FPL striker pick and would allow for funds to be used in other areas of the pitch. Amado Broja is valued at 5.3 million and has a 9.2% ownership. Southampton faces Everton in gameweek 26, a side that has conceded 38 goals in 22 matches this season (Everton is conceding 1.73 goals per match) Broja would be looking to capitalize on that.

double gameweek 26 FPL striker picks: Amado Broja

When it comes to value for money, Amado Broja is up there. The saints forward has scored six goals this season. He has been in decent form in recent weeks, which makes him one of our FPL striker picks for gameweek 26.

Alexandre Lacazette

When it comes to differential FPL striker picks Alexandre Lacazette is one to consider in double gameweek 26. The Arsenal forward valued at 8.3 million is selected by 4.3% of FPL managers. Well, that’s no surprise as Alexandre Lacazette has only scored three goals all season and has missed 6 big chances.

Regardless of his lack of goals Alexandre Lacazette and chances missed, Alexandre Lacazette could still be a decent striker pick in double gameweek 26. The Arsenal man has an xG of 5.07 and an, xA 2.40.

Arsenal faces Brentford and Wolves in gameweek 26, two tricky fixtures. Wolves are a team that is good defensively so the game against Arsenal won’t be a high-scoring one. Brentford, however, has struggled defensively in recent times. And that could be a game where Lacazette pops up with a goal or an assist.

Lacazette is a decent differential FPL striker pick.

Wout Weghorst

Burnley’s new signing Weghorst has looked pretty good in the premier league this season and already has an assist to his name. The Burnley man has come against Liverpool and Man United already this season and played well in both games- he was unlucky not to have scored a goal. He did have to come off early in the match against Liverpool as he picked up an injury which makes him a doubt for double gameweek 26.

The Burnley man would be a good FPL striker pick for double gameweek 26 if he’s available. Burnley comes up against Spurs and Brighton in gameweek 26 and, to be fair, they have a decent chance against them. Burnley played well against Liverpool creating a lot of chances. If they play similarly against Spurs and, Brighton Wout Weghorst, would get a decent amount of goals. Wout Weghorst is a good differential striker pick and if you’re looking for a Mo Salah triple captain alternative, click here

Wout Weghorst(6.5 million), I’d say he’s worth bringing into your team. With premium FPL strikers such as Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Romelu Lukaku performing below par, I’d say sign Wout Weghorst.

Raúl Jiménez

One of our double gameweek 26 striker picks is Raúl Jiménez. He might be of a shocking one because he plays for a Wolves side that doesn’t score loads of goals. And I don’t think Raúl Jiménez would be a good striker pick for double gameweek 26.

The stats do go against Raul Jimenez and, it’s difficult to recommend him as one of my FPL striker pick for this double gameweek. Wolves have scored just 8 goals in their last ten games and have scored 17 all season which is low.

At 7.4 million, Raul Jimenez is not a good buy. It would be wise to spend that money elsewhere and invest in Wolves’ defense.

Emmanuel Dennis

Emmanuel Dennis is owned by 36.6% of FPL managers. The Watford man is still highly owned, which is a bit of surprise as he has not scored or assisted in his last five games.

FPL
striker pick: Dennis last five games
Emmanuel Dennis last five games.

Dennis is a decent option for double gameweek 26 Dennis’- price is one of the reasons why. Dennis is valued- at 6.1 million which; is pretty cheap and allows for funds to be used in other parts of the pitch. Watford faces Villa and Palace in gameweek 26, two teams that concede goals. He’s one worth having for gameweek 26.

If I were to pick three FPL strikers for double gameweek 26, I’d probably go for Wout Weghorst (if fit), Broja, and Dennis. Strikers are hard to pick as they just aren’t returning that much. The best play, for now, would be to go for the cheaper ones and invest the funds elsewhere.
