GW3 Top Performers
Here are the top performers in GW3. Raheem Sterling of Chelsea was the standout performer, the Chelsea midfielder picked up a total of 19 points and his price has now increased – going from 7.0million to 7.1million.

A lot of budget defenders are in this team with Gusto, Udogie, Andersen and Cash returning a total of 54 points. A similar thing seems to have occurred in midfield as well with budget midfielders stealing the show in GW3.
What this means is that there are alot of great budget picks in the game this season with a total of 22.5 million you could have a pretty solid defense that would have players from top teams and defenders that are likely to get some form of attacking return.
The question though is, how many of these top performers are great long-term picks? We’d find out later in this article.

The Best FPL Players To Transfer Into Your Team In Gameweek 4
Based on our analysis so far, here are some of the FPL assets you could bring into your team in GW4.
Goalkeeper
Flekken – £4.5m – 2.5% – GKP / BRE
If you’re looking to get a goalie this gameweek, then Flekken is your man. The Brentford man has a really good fixture in GW4 as Brentford face Everton, a side that has failed to score in all their games this season. Flekken is a good goalkeeper option.
Defenders
Udogie – £4.6m – 6.5% – DEF / TOT
Udogie is a cheap option who has been in good form recently – he averages 6 points per match. He plays in a Spurs side that looks solid defensively and is sound attacking as well. With a game against Burnley this week, Udogie is a very attractive cheap budget defender to own in GW4.
Gusto – £4.1m – 8.1% – DEF / CHE
Gusto is yet another cheap option who was sound against Luton Town in GW3. His fixtures going forward also means that he is great long-term pick. However, it is important to note that he isn’t Chelsea’s first-choice right-back and when James returns from injury, Gusto’s minutes could be reduced. He is a great bench fodder, not someone to rely on long-term.
Walker – £5.1m – 9.4% – DEF / MCI
Walker is another player that looked really good in GW3. We saw him in good attacking positions in gw3 which is a good sign considering the fact that he’s a full-back for an attacking side like Man City. If he continues playing that way assists would follow. It is also important to note that City have kept two clean sheets in their last three gameweeks.
Midfielders
Bowen – £7.0m – 6.0% – MID / WHU
If you’re looking for a great one week punt then Bowen is your man. West Ham play Luton Town a side where right-wingers seem to be having a field day. He’s a great pick for this gameweek. It is important to note that his fixtures after GW5, are pretty tough.
Sterling – £7.1m – 8.8% – MID / CHE
Sterling’s impressive performance against Luton Town, plus his underlying stats and his great fixtures from now up until GW8 means that he’s a great buy this gameweek and beyond. His ownership is still pretty low which means he’s a differential pick.
Maddison – £7.6m – 16.1% – MID / TOT
Maddison is integral to his team’s setup and poised to shine in a series of advantageous fixtures, Maddison is a name that echoes across FPL discussions. His influence across various aspects of the game makes him a compelling choice for managers seeking reliable returns.
Mbeumo – £6.7m – 24.7% – MID / BRE
With the added advantage of being on penalty duty and coupled with favorable upcoming fixtures, Mbeumo emerges as a prime transfer target for FPL managers in search of a budget midfielder who is on form and has great fixtures.

GW4 Transfer Dilemmas and Strategy
1. Martinelli ➡️ Time to Sell Now I Think
- With concerns circling around Martinelli’s role and his recent form, it might be time to consider parting ways. A calculated exit could free up valuable funds for more promising prospects.
2. Rashford ➡️ Hold Tight, But Tread Carefully
- Despite a challenging situation, Rashford, when deployed on the left, can still bring value. However, exercise caution and evaluate his performance closely before making any drastic moves.
3. Saka ➡️ Arsenal’s Ace: A Hold with Potential
- If the return to penalty duties is on the horizon, holding onto Saka could prove advantageous. Having a slice of Arsenal’s action in your squad remains an astute choice.
4. Fernandes ➡️ Hold the Fort with Confidence
- Bruno Fernandes’ presence in your team is a solid hold. After his performance last week in a more advanced role – Bruno might be a better option if you’re struggling to pick between him and Rashford. We know we recommended selling last week, but a tweak in United’s setup now seems to favor Bruno. We’re sorry but it’s the nature of FPL.
5. Gabriel ➡️ The Departure Bell Rings for Him
- The time has come to part ways with Gabriel. Swift action is recommended to free up resources for more reliable defensive options.
6. Pickford ➡️ Proceed with Caution on This Transfer
- Swapping Pickford might be tempting, but exercise restraint. The luxury of this transfer might not justify the potential gains. Keep an eye on Flekken as a plausible replacement.
7. Watkins ➡️ Tread Cautiously or Consider Jackson
- Deciding whether to part with Watkins is a luxury call. For those seeking alternative striking options, Jackson could be an intriguing choice.
8. Gusto ➡️ The James Factor Looms Large
- A word of caution for Gusto owners. With James inching closer to a return, monitor the situation closely before making hasty decisions.
9. Joao Pedro ➡️ Time to Bid Adieu
- The Joao Pedro ship might be sailing away. Exploring other avenues could prove more fruitful as his returns dwindle.
10. Mitoma ➡️ Explore Other Engaging Options – While Mitoma offers potential, there are more impactful players with favorable fixtures. Delve into alternatives that promise a stronger impact.

11. Midfielders ➡️ The Sterling-Maddison Dilemma – Foden ranks below Maddison and Sterling in terms of potential. Maddison’s consistency contrasts with Sterling’s explosive prowess. Make your selection wisely.
12. Bowen ➡️ Luton Beckons, But What Lies Beyond? – GW4 against Luton seems tempting for Bowen. Yet, the haze around his subsequent fixtures should deter managers unless a wildcard is on the horizon.
