GW30 is a very small gameweek, featuring just 8 teams across 4 fixtures. The FA Cup quarter-finals are played over this same weekend- teams who aren’t in the FA cup play in the premier league this week.
For GW30 captain picks, options are limited, but in gameweeks as such, the right call can help you propel your team forward.

Kane (TOT | 12.4m)
If you do not own Kane at this point, now would be a good time to bring in the Spurs man. Kane is currently on fire in front of goal, having scored 7 in his last 6 games, adding an assist to that tally as well.
For the remaining games, the Spurs’ toughest opponents are Liverpool and Arsenal. They have a good run of fixtures from GW30-GW35, including home games against Newcastle, Brighton, and Kane’s favorite team, Leicester.
Looking deeper at the underlying stats, it is clear that Kane is the player on fire in FPL right now. In terms of shots taken (30) and shots on target (14), he is only second to Salah in the last 6 GWs.
He is also second on xG (4.84), again, only behind Salah. He also takes all penalties for Spurs, a statistic that will stand out against Leicester- the team to have conceded the second most number of penalties (7) to date.
He also has a fairly decent record against West Ham – scoring 4 times over his last 5 meetings against Spurs London rivals. West Ham, on the other hand, has only kept 2 clean sheets in their last 11 games.
Saka (ARS | 6.6m)
If you do not have Kane in your lineup, Arsenal’s Saka is the top alternative.
The Arsenal midfielder is enjoying his best season in an Arsenal shirt to date, already returning 8 goals and 6 assists in his 27 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Saka blanked in his last 2 games, but enjoyed a purple spell before that, scoring 6 times in 7 games.
Among all the Gunners, Saka took the most shots on target (7) over the last 5 games, a poignant statistic in terms of goal returns.
As a midfielder, he gets 1 more point every time he scores and earns 1 point from a clean sheet as well.
In the league, Arsenal have been in good form, winning 9 of their last 12 games, losing only to Liverpool and Man City in that run.
Saka’s gameweek opponents are Aston Villa, who are inconsistent at best, winning 3 and losing 3 of their last 6 games.
Maddison (LEI | 6.7m)
On paper, Leicester appear to have the easiest fixture of GW30, a home tie against Brentford. They have also won 5 of their last 7 games, even though 3 of those were in the Europa Conference League.
Vardy is out, so Maddison appears to be the best captaincy option from Leciester.
The midfielder has only scored once in the last 7 gameweeks but is capable of going on an FPL scoring spree with his attacking play.
Leicester will need magic from Maddison in the absence of several key players across the board.
Coady (WOL | 4.8m)
If you are in the chase and will like a very differential captaincy pick, Coady is the top pick.
Wolves are on back-to-back clean sheets and play Leeds in GW30 a team that is still finding its feet under new Head coach Jesse March.
You’d be expecting Wolves to give Leeds a hard time in this one. Many FPL managers would be hoping Wolves can keep a clean sheet against Leeds and Coady pops up with a goal like he did in the last game week against Everton.
Captaining Coady carries a lot of risks. If you’re trying to move up the rank you’d need more than just a clean sheet from the Wolves center back. Coady is more of a safe pick- if you’re happy to get 6 points then captain Coady.
Son Heung-min
Son is a Spurs asset that would make a great FPL GW30 captain. The Spurs forward has been in good form in recent weeks. Son looked sharp against United and Brighton and was quite unlucky not to get a goal in those matches.
If you don’t fancy Son and want to go for another Spurs asset Dejan Kulusevski is the man to go for. The Swedish man has picked up a total of 31 points in his last five games- scoring one goal and assisting four in that period.
Gameweek 30 is a blank gameweek and a few FPL managers may not have a complete xi this gameweek which makes picking the right captain much more crucial.

Who should you captain GW30
Harry Kane should be your gameweek 30 captain. The Spurs man has been in good form in recent gameweeks- he has picked up 40 points in his last five games scoring five goals and assisting one in that period.
He is currently is the most in form player in the game. If there’s anything we know about Harry Kane is that he’s a lethal finisher and when he’s on form there’s no stopping him.
There really is no better option in blank gameweek 30 and for these reasons we’d be giving him the armband.
