FPL GW22 tips: double gameweek 22 preview and tips

With GW22 only a couple of days away, it is now time for us to share our GW22 tips and also take preview at what this gameweek has to offer.

In this article, we’d be answering some questions that FPL managers have been asking ahead of GW22, we’d also share transfer strategies, odds and predictions, wildcard teams and our scout picks.

1. Gameweek 21 review

Before we get into this week’s preview, we want to remind ourselves about some of the things that happened in GW21. We want to see the players that performed really well.

Well in this team, there are a couple of surprises. The likes of Ayling and Anthony are some of the players that we don’t often see score so many FPL points.

Other than that, we aren’t surprised as some of the players on this list are players that we recommended for FPL managers to buy in GW21.

The question now is, which one of these players should you be looking to add to your GW22 team?

2. What players should you transfer into your gameweek 22 team?

In the article, we took a look at some of the best players you can get from goalkeepers down to forwards.

We also talk about some of the best Cancelo and Almiron replacements out there. It’s a pretty good article and one that we recommend you read.

Here are a couple of players we spoke about in the GW22 article and these are the players that we think would be great buys this gameweek.

3. What teams have the best fixtures: teams you should target in gameweek 22

We have a fixture ticker that can help you identify the teams with the best fixtures from now up until GW28. This is a great way to know what teams to target as you make transfers, or play your wildcard.

The teams that have the best fixtures in the Premier League from GW22-28, based on fixture difficulty ratings are:

1. Arsenal
2. Leeds
3. Man United
4. Chelsea
5. Brighton
6. Liverpool
7. Brentford

These teams have nice fixtures, and it won’t be a bad idea to target a couple of players from these teams.

Now that we know what teams have nice fixtures, it would also be nice to know which ones are predicted to do well this gameweek.

4. What does the FPL calendar look like from now until the end of the season?

Here’s a FPL Calendar showing the timeline of events that are likely to take place this season:

And here are the expected blank gameweeks: gameweek 25, 28 and 32 are most likely going to be blank gameweeks in the 22/23 FPL season. With the biggest blank happening in GW28.

As for double gameweeks, here are the expected doubles: gameweek 22, 23, 25, 29, 34 and 37 are the gameweeks predicted to be double gameweeks. With GW29&34 being the biggest double gameweek of this 2022/23 FPL season.

5. DGW22 wildcard

Well, since we’ve seen this season’s calendar, it is a lot easier to plan and play your wildcard now.

The calendar helps you to know when the blank gameweeks are coming up and what teams would be blanking.

Knowing all of that means that we can create a wildcard team, that has the long-term in mind and a team that’d put us in a good position when blank gameweeks come around.

In this scout picks and team reveal article, we’ve selected the most in-form players in the game, the players with the best fixtures this week, players predicted to pick up the most FPL points, players with great underlying numbers and players with great clean sheet and goal scoring odds.

This team costs a total of 96.4 million to build.

Double gameweek 22 is no different as there are a lot of pretty good FPL GW22 triple captain player picks out there. There’s no doubt that:
