GW21 is only a couple of days away and before we FPL managers go on to buy and transfer FPL assets in and out of our teams, it’d be important for us to know what players and teams are likely to score, keep clean sheets and pick up the most FPL points.
This is our GW21 odds prediction article. In this article, we’d be providing you with a list of teams predicted to keep clean sheets in GW21, players expected to score and the players predicted to pick up the most FPL points.
FPL GW21 fixtures
Before we get into our predictions proper, we want to take a look at the gameweek 21 premier league fixtures. This would allow us know what teams each team face.

Looking at the GW21 FPL fixtures, we can see that a couple of teams have pretty easy games and some of the bigger sides have much tougher games. In this gameweek, Liverpool play Chelsea and Arsenal face Man United.
The question now is, how does this week’s fixtures affect this week’s clean sheet and goal scoring odds? Well, we’re about to find out.
Gameweek 21: Clean sheet odds
The clean sheet odds are gotten from fplfactory and here’s how they are calculated: “Our algorithm collects the odds from more than 20 booking sites and converts to percentages exluding profit margin.”

According to fplfactory’s clean sheet odds prediction calculations, we can see that:
Man City have a 52% chance of keeping a clean sheet which is the most this gameweek,
West Ham have a 33.33% chance which puts them in second which is a bit of a surprise given their recent form.
Instead of going down the West Ham route, you could rather give Arsenal defenders a chance this gameweek – Arsenal have a 26.67% chance of keeping a clean sheet and they’re sixth in the clean sheet odds ranking.
Newcastle are in third and they have a 32.26% chance of keeping a clean sheet. A double up of Trippier and Pope is a good shout this gameweek.
Liverpool are fourth with a 26.67% chance of keeping a clean sheet and,
in fifth we’ve got Brighton who have a 26.67% chance of keeping a clean sheet.
One thing we’ve noticed about this week’s clean sheet odds predictions, is the fact that the teams that have a high chance of keeping clean sheets play against teams that don’t score many goals.
So yeah, it makes sense to target players from these teams if you’re looking for clean sheet points.
GW21 odds: teams less likely to keep clean sheets
While in the bottom-half of the spectrum, we have the following teams – these are the ones with the lowest chance of keeping clean sheets:

According to odd predictions, Man United, Chelsea, Everton and Wolves are four of the teams to avoid, if you’re looking to get FPL clean sheet points.

Without a doubt, Erling Haaland is GW21 most likely goal scorer, the Man City forward has a 50.15% chance of getting a goal which is really impressive.
In second place, we’ve got Mo Salah who has a 37.13% chance of scoring, which is a little surprising considering his form and Liverpool’s.
The third most likely goal scorer in gameweek 21, is Ivan Toney who has a 31.76% chance of scoring a goal in GW21 and you can’t argue with that, as he’s a man who is on form and has a pretty good fixture in gameweek 21 as well.
Rodrigo Moreno of Leeds finds himself in fourth place on fplfactory’s GW21 goal scorer odds predictions with a 30.68% chance of scoring, and in fifth we have Nketiah of Arsenal who has a 25.75% chance of scoring this gameweek.
Here’s how the FPL goal scorer odds are calculated by fplfactory:
“Our (NEW) algorithm collects the odds from more than 20 booking sites and converts to percentages exluding profit margin. (Xmins) Thereafter, percentages adjusted by players’ expected minutes and availability.”
GW21 odds: defender return odds
We’ve now seen the teams most likely to keep clean sheets and the FPL players most likely to score goals. In this segment we want to take a look at what defenders are most likely to have a form of return, whether it’s clean sheets, goals or assists.

If you’re looking to get in defenders for your FPL team this gameweek, then these are the FPL defenders you should be considering:
- Ederson has a 45.74% chance of getting a form of return, probably very likely to keep a clean sheet in gameweek 21.
- Ake is second on our list of defender return odds and he has a 38.62% chance of getting a form of return.
- Cancelo is in third and he has a 33.37% chance of getting a form of return as a defender.
- Dunk and Burn make up the final part of our top five list of defenders to target this gameweek.
From the defender return odds image, we can see that a lot of defenders from Man City, Newcastle, Brighton and Liverpool are expected to return some points.
These odds calculation assumes that these players start games, if they don’t start then they won’t be expected to pick up that many points.
