MD7 fifa fantasy tips

Matchday 7 is the last and final matchday of the 2022 FIFA World Cup fantasy game. A lot has happened in the tournament and it has proved to be an interesting one.

We’ve all enjoyed the World Cup this year and we’d be hoping that the final lives up to its hype. Well, as FIFA fantasy managers, we still have one more thing to do and that’s to select and pick our last and final team.

In this article, we’d be hoping to help you do just that. We’d be looking at the best players to pick for your MD7 team, the best 12th man and the best captain pick.

Some important FIFA fantasy matchday 7 tips

Before we go into our player picks recommendation, we want to remind ourselves of the teams that still remain in the tournament. It is important to know this, because it is players from these teams that we want to target.

World Cup fantasy MD7 fixtures

We can clearly see from the image above that there are four teams left, they are:

  • Argentina
  • Croatia
  • France
  • Morocco

Now that we know the teams left, the question is, how many players can we pick or select from each team in matchday 7? The answer is, you can select a maximum of eight players per nation.

Another really helpful tip you want to keep in mind as you select your MD7 team, is the amount of transfers you’re allowed to make this matchday. According to the rules, every manager is allowed to make a maximum of six transfers this matchday.

If a manager makes more than six transfers, then 3 points would be deducted off their total points.

The best world cup fantasy player picks for your FIFA fantasy team – finals

We know that this is the last matchday of the World Cup and in this matchday, there are two different sort of fixtures. We have the finals and the 3rd place play-offs. This means we want to see this matchday in two different ways and target players based on their fixtures.

We know that the final would be a lot tighter than the 3rd place play-offs and because of that, it would probably be a low scoring game and so clean sheet points could be gotten from that fixture.

While the 3rd place play-offs, could be a lot open and goals might be plenty in this one. So it won’t be the worst strategy to target defenders from the teams in the finals.

1. Top World Cup fantasy player picks from Argentina

Argentina are a team that you could get top fantasy assets from. Here are some of the best Argentine players who are on form and would be great player picks for matchday seven in the FIFA fantasy game:

  1. OTAMENDI DEFENDER | ARGENTINA | $5M
  2. ACUNA DEFENDER | ARGENTINA | $4.5M
  3. MESSI FORWARD | ARGENTINA | $10.5M
  4. ALVAREZ FORWARD | ARGENTINA | $6.5M

If you’re looking to go down the Argentina route, then their forwards are the ones you should be looking to target. Messi and Alvarez would be great picks this matchday.

You could also look to get a couple of defenders from their team, Otamendi and Acuna are also good picks. Remember, that you want to select defenders that can either get a goal or assist and that’s why full-backs are good options, as they carry attacking threat.

It’d also be good to target Argentina defenders this week, as they play in the finals, as they would try to be really solid at the back.

2. Top World Cup fantasy player picks from France

Another team that played really well in matchday six, was France. A really solid performance from France, saw them knock out Morocco in the semi-finals.

If you’re looking to get in fantasy players from France, then going for their attackers, would be a pretty good move.

The two forwards that stand-out in France are, Mbappe and Giroud and both of these forwards, still have a chance of winning this year’s World Cup golden boot. So if you’re looking to get players from France, then those two have to be top of your list.

Here are some more FIFA fantasy player picks from France:

  1. GRIEZMANN FORWARD | FRANCE | $8.5M
  2. MBAPPE FORWARD | FRANCE | $11.5M
  3. GIROUD FORWARD | FRANCE | $7.5M
  4. HERNANDEZ DEFENDER | FRANCE | $5M

The French defender we’ve added to our player picks, is Theo Hernandez. That’s because the full-back always overlaps and he’s always involved in decent amount of attacks. The potential for him to get an assist is high, which means he’s a decent option.

Selecting French defenders this matchday, wouldn’t be a bad idea, as they play in the finals and would want to keep the game tight. This means you can go for two or three French defenders and you might do just fine.

Varane and Kounde are other good defender picks for your FIFA fantasy team in MD7.

3. Top World Cup fantasy player picks from Croatia

Croatia are another side that are really good defensively, so if you’re looking to get players from Croatia, then their defenders would not be bad options. Here are some good Croatia player picks:

  1. LOVREN DEFENDER | CROATIA | $4.5M
  2. SOSA DEFENDER | CROATIA | $3.5M
  3. MODRIC MIDFIELDER | CROATIA | $8.5M
  4. PERISIC MIDFIELDER | CROATIA | $7.5M
  5. KRAMARIC FORWARD | CROATIA | $6M
  6. LIVAKOVIC GOALKEEPER | CROATIA | $5M
  7. PETKOVIC FORWARD | CROATIA | $5.5M

4. Top World Cup fantasy player picks from Morocco

Morocco have done really well in the World Cup so far, there are not a team to overlook when you are selecting your fantasy team this matchday.

Their defense has been really solid all through the tournament. So, if you’re looking to go down the Morocco route, it won’t be a bad idea to go for some of their defenders. Here are some players you can consider.

  1. BOUNOU GOALKEEPER | MOROCCO | $4.5M
  2. SAISS DEFENDER | MOROCCO | $4.5M
  3. HAKIMI DEFENDER | MOROCCO | $5M
  4. ZIYECH MIDFIELDER | MOROCCO | $7M
  5. EN NESYRI FORWARD | MOROCCO | $5.5M

Morocco players would be great additions to any team and that’s because of how cheap their fantasy assets are. This means, you can select a decent amount of Moroccans and put them on your bench.

Saiss is an injury doubt this matchday as he was subbed off in Morocco’s game against France. You might also want to be cautious when selecting Morocco defenders, and that’s because they have injury problems at the back.

FIFA fantasy matchday seven captain

In terms of captain picks in matchday seven, you have the usual players. The likes of MbappeMessi and Giroud are all pretty decent captain picks this matchday.

Just remember to select your captain from the first game in matchday seven, that way you’d know whether to stick or twist. The first semi final game, is Morocco vs Croatia, this means it would make sense to captain either En Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Ivan Perisic,or Lukas Modric.

Then if they don’t as good as you want, then you can switch and captain Giroud, Mbappe, Alvarez or Messi; players who play next. That’s the best way to navigate and choose your FIFA fantasy captain. Here are the fixtures:
