Two teams double in gameweek 34 and they’re Chelsea and Manchester United. A victory in Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final match is why this double gameweek is happening.
This double gameweek means that Chelsea play once in gameweek 36 and Man United would blank in double gameweek 36.
With that information in mind, we’ll now want to see the best captain picks from these two clubs, and what Manchester United and Chelsea assets we should be transferring into our team in double gameweek 34.
Chelsea and Man United captain picks
There are several stand-out captain picks from these two teams we have the likes of , Mason Mount, Kai Haverts, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes all to pick from. Let’s take a look now at which one we should go for in gameweek 34.
Double Gameweek 34 captain picks: Mason Mount
The first and probably one of my favorite picks would be Mason Mount. The Chelsea midfielder is having one of his best seasons, his 10 goals and 9 assists in the Premier League is a personal best for him.
Mason Mount and Chelsea come up against West Ham and Manchester United this gameweek, two teams that aren’t great when it comes to keeping clean sheets.
Mount himself also comes into this game in great goal-scoring form, with goals in his last three games. Another thing that makes Mount even more appealing, is his ability to score and create goals – no player in Chelsea has more goal involvement than Mason Mount.
His form and recent performances makes him one of this week’s front-runners for the captain’s armband.
Double Gameweek 34 captain picks: Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz is also another player who has found his form in recent gameweeks and would be a great gameweek 34 captain.
His impressive goal-scoring form has seen him bag five goals in his last five games and has also seen him pick up 41 points in that period as well.
Havertz is a player who currently plays out of position and for FPL managers that’s absolutely golden – he plays almost as a striker for this Chelsea team which means he’s closer to goal and that explains why he has scored a few more goals recently.
A player in form, a differential, and a midfielder playing as a striker, Kai Havertz is another man worthy of the captain’s armband in double gameweek 34.
Double Gameweek 34 captain picks: Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes
Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes are the two stand-out players for Manchester United, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s hattrick against Norwich was a little reminder that he still is an explosive FPL asset.
However, Ronaldo might be a doubt in double gameweek 34 after the sad passing of his son, Cristiano Ronaldo might need to take some time off and would probably miss one of his two games.
If that happens Bruno Fernandes would be a great Cristiano Ronaldo replacement. Bruno Fernandes has not been in the greatest of form lately and amongst these players he’s probably the least favorite captain pick.
But if you want to go for a Manchester United player, then Bruno is one good option.
Who our double gameweek 34 captain is
Amongst players who have a double gameweek, Kai Havertz would be our go to captain this week. It’s really difficult to pick between Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

Kai Havertz role as a striker and his performances in his last five Premier League games makes it hard to look past him and for that reason he’d be our double gameweek 34 captain.
If you’re on a wildcard we’d like you to know that Manchester United blank in double gameweek 36 and Chelsea only play once in gameweek 36 that’s something you’d like to keep in mind when buying these assets.
